Stared at/uncomfy situation?

I visited my granny and she lives in a really upper cl neighborhood. The majoirty of the people who live there are light skinned Asians and Whites. I'm asian but i've been told i look hispanic b/c of my tan complexion. Now when i was at the park, i noticed people looking at me which made me feel uncomfortable. Is it b/c their rich and they act snobbish towards dark hispanic people b/c they think their bette than them, Or do they stare b/c i'm different looking?
