Is there a way to reset or quit a quest in Oblivion?

On one of the Thieves' Guild missions, the quest glitched so that it's impossible to complete it. I've tried many different things to work around it, but none work. I want to know if I can start the quest from scratch so that it won't glitch, and I can advance in the Thieves' Guild. Thanks!
