Does anybody else with a dog (especially a lab) feel like their dog is just a big headache?

My 5 month old lab is so stubborn, bossy, hyper, and destructive, that I can't connect with her at all. And I've had to bring her to the vet 5 times for eating things she shouldn't. It's not because I'm careless though. For instance, yesterday she was playing with a toy and was shaking it, but it flew out of her mouth and hit the chandelier and light bulb fell out and she got to it before I could and ate it. If i sit on the couch she jumps all over me and bites me. Any time I try to train her she barks at me and bites me. But she's not really vicious; she's just mouthy. I know she's just a puppy still, but she's out of control.
