Painting while pregnant?

i'm 5 months preg and i've been hearing alot of mixed opinions about painting... i want to start painting my baby's nursery soon and dont really have anyone but my boyfriend and myself to do the job.. the problem with that is, he is always working. in any case, i was told that it was ok if i took frequent breaks, the room was well ventilated and i wasnt reaching high or climbing on a ladder, and if i used a certain kind of paint. has any other preggers or moms out there ever come across this same issue? does anyone know what kind of paint i should use if i were to do this? what about wearing a mask?
