Do you think it is possible that Jesus was influenced by eastern religions?

Well, he lived very close to the coast of Mediterranean in a time when there was a lot of trade, overland and by sea. Many people have noticed the similarities between the teachings of Buddha and the teachings of Jesus. Christs' teachings sound like Buddhism for Roman-era Jews. Of course there is no record of any contact or influence, but given the similarily, and proximity via trade routes, do you think its possible?
