I rent and my apartment is flooded with water my land lord came over with a shopvac and sucked the water out?

what my question is - i have heard the shopvac doesnt get all of the water. And there is a possibility I could get mold. I am wondering what are my chances of getting mold and my land lord isnt changing the carpet out. Her reply is she is going to take it outside and wash it and then put it back in. My carpet was so saturated my shoes were making slushing sounds. I need to do know if there is someone I can report her to. And if I get sick from mold - can I pursue her with the doctor bills ? I live in Polk County Florida.
